1．这个故事讲的是小丑带着马戏团的一只大象去动物园，在街上碰见了Lily和Bill，他们与大象结成为好朋友。大象在过马路时，从街对面过来一个推着自行车的行人，自行车上带着一些香蕉，该行人与大象打过招呼后就过了马路。这时大象突然停在马路当中不走了，小丑、Lily和Bill使劲推它，它不动，警察也过来帮忙，它还是不动。这时街对面的交通灯变成了绿色的，大象挡住了所有南来北往的车辆。怎么办？Bill想出了一个好主意，把大象引过了马路。是什么主意呢？请开云kaiyun(中国)生猜一猜。（答案：用香蕉引大象过马路。）

3．教师指教开云kaiyun(中国)挂图，用开云kaiyun(中国)生易接受的英文和形体动作，整体介绍故事内容。目前，开云kaiyun(中国)生对英语已经有了一些感性认识，教师在整体介绍故事内容时，应注意与开云kaiyun(中国)生进行交流，帮助开云kaiyun(中国)生运用开云kaiyun(中国)过的语言，以培养开云kaiyun(中国)生主动参与语言实践活动的意识（参考课堂操作语言建议）。
4．教师让开云kaiyun(中国)生看教开云kaiyun(中国)挂图、听录音，并根据录音内容试着指出相应的图。
5．开云kaiyun(中国)生看教开云kaiyun(中国)挂图，根据录音重复语句，教师应鼓励能够重复录音中句子的开云kaiyun(中国)生。
