PURPOSE:
The Operations Trainee Program is an intensive program designed to accelerate the professional development of entry-level talent who is keen to grow their career in Operations among different functions including but not limited to Logistics and Procurement. This two-year program provides young talent with real responsibility, rotational assignments and structured training to guide the young talents towards a successful and professional fulfilling career in Lubrizol Operations.
PROGRAM:
Operations Trainee will experience the entire supply chain management, including customer service, planning, transport & warehouse, customer assistance and raw material sourcing practices through hands-on jobs and training.
Operations Trainee will be given up to six job rotations during the 2 years program with different designed assignments to complete. Individual needs to submit reports after each rotation.
Operations Trainee will be supervised by direct manager and mentored with frequent performance reviews as part of a structured development roadmap.
Operations Trainee will gain in-depth functional knowledge through projects or other assignments. He/she will also learn and develop interpersonal skills & leadership through the assignments.
At the end of program, Operations Trainee will attend an assessment of individual performance and competences.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Works in different functions to gain perspective and acquire the supply operational knowledge and skills to effectively deliver reliable customer service at the optimum costs.
Role model in customer service, problem solving & decision making and sets the pace for being reliable for all operations employees.
Recognizes need for improvement and takes appropriate action to implement change and actively seeks out experts in other areas to assist in problem solving.
Participates in various improvement initiatives as required, as part of the exposure.
Works effectively within the Operations teams to ensure alignment to the organization goals and strategies.
Submits report per assignment and attends periodic performance reviews.
REQUIREMENTS (education, experience and specific job requirements):
1) Education：
Master Degree in chemistry or supply chain management;
2) Experience：
Fresh postgraduate student
3) Knowledge, technical/professional skill:
Analytical ability to identify and resolve critical issues
High learning agility
Computer skills with Excel and Word, etc
Knowledge of supply management (plus)
Knowledge of quality assurance (plus)
4) Language Skill:
Fluency in both Written & Oral English and Mandarin
5) Others:
Travelling within the region at the conclusion of the development program as required
